The Victuals.
An full English Breakfast is quite an experience: hash browns, scrambled eggs,
bacon, beans, sausages, buttered toast, kippers, fresh fruit, all kind of cereals and the
or coffee or juice enable a human being to cope with even the most eventful day.
Of course such a breakfast is absolutely no obstacle for a healthy luncheon of varied
cold meats, fruit salads, tabouleh, cheeses etc. etc. Dinner is easy, for you have had
an interesting excursion. Also a pint of the best stimulates the appetite. Ales as there
were: Green King, Masterbrew, Ruddles Best, Black Sheep, Bombardier. Directors,
Abbot Ale, Hobgoblin, Speckled Hen etc. etc.. Strange that there are on the
continent ignorants who are believing that food is not as good in England. The
