o On the previous evening (of the 150th Anniversary of the
"birth of Charles Dickens) a large gathering witnessed a
simple ceremony when a wreath was laid on the grave in West
minster Ahhey in the name of the Dickens Fellowship through
out the world, by Mrs. Maria Wilkens of the Haarlem (Holland)
Branch. The brief service was conducted by Canon Carpenter.
